Our mission is to work in partnership with families and community organizations to provide access to information, resources and career pathways that will position families to empower and improve outcomes for their children and themselves.

At Odyssey Family Executive Center, our story begins with the voices of parents. Located within Maritime Odyssey Preschool, our Center was created in response to what families were telling us — the need for more accessible support, guidance, and resources to help them thrive, not just in school, but in life. What started as conversations with parents turned into a mission-driven hub where families can find the tools, connections, and encouragement they need to grow educationally, economically, and personally.

We believe that when families are supported, children flourish — and that's at the heart of everything we do.

We’ve taken a two-generation and collective impact approach towards tackling opportunity gaps that have hindered the families of South Norwalk for far too long. The two-generational approaches emphasize the provision of education, economic supports, social capital, and health and well-being to create a legacy of economic security that passes from one generation to the next. Without high quality educational experiences for both parents and their children, the cycle of generational poverty will continue.
